Girl's Requirements For A Guy To Be Their Boyfriend

I was watching this show called Take Me Out Extra on a local online video streaming site (tonton.com.my). I'm sure most of you are already aware of this show which aires weekly on ntv7.

Take Me Out is a new reality TV show where single guys try their luck to search for that special lady among 30 other girls. If they are successful in impressing someone, they will then go out on a date.

This date will then me recorded and shown on Take Me Out Extra (link to show).

So after watching a few episodes, I can see that different girls have different requirements for their man.
Some wants them to be cute, most want handsome and well-built guys. Guys must be charming and charismatic. Must be able to play sports...and the list goes on.

But then again, it's the same with guys.

We request just as much from girls as well.

So girls, what are the requirements you seek for?

I Just Turned Down A Job Offer

I was woken up by a phone call this morning, where by I just turned off the ringing tone and went back to sleep. It was almost noon at that time but since it's the holidays, why not sleep in late right? FYI, I woke up around five something in the evening today.

That call turned out to be coming from the company I applied to for an internship position. They were looking for an intern to do design. I got to know this from a friend who is currently interning there as well (received his text message a couple of minutes after the missed call).

After some thought, I decided to turn down this offer. I have a few reasons for why I did so.

One; I applied to intern in this company not as a designer but as an intern who does the usual intern job there. So that I could learn more from there.

Two; If I were to apply as a designer I will probably apply at a design firm.

Three; Knowing the fact that designers have shitty jobs to do and crazy deadlines, I would not want to be stressed out doing design work during my internship.

It kind of disappointing that I could not get the job I wanted but then again, with the time I have in my hands now allows me to start on working on my own dreams.

It has been going on in my heads for months now. Hopefully, my dreams will start to come true this year.

If only I could wake up earlier.

Friends Forever since 1988

Every year during Chinese New Year, the only thing I would be looking forward to are the meet-ups with my friends.

CNY is the only time where the whole group gets to gather at one spot. We do get to meet one another sometimes but most of us only gets to see each other once a year. Sad but true.

We have been friends for a very very long time; 5 years, 7 years, 10 years and some for 15 years! Since Primary 1 okay! Damn, time sure flies by real fast. In just a blink of an eye we're already 23 years old. Old bastards.

These are the friends who will back each other up when in need. Not everyone can do that.

So glad and proud to have you guys. So awesome can!
This is like only part of the group. We're a huge family!

The Lifestyles of Generation Y and Generation Z

It wasn't very hard to get the topic started.
It just took us a few glasses of red wine.

So the question was, "Would you get into a relationship because you knew it was love or because of responsibility?"

Most of us start off being infatuated, that's when the feelings start to develop which then turns into love. How much do you agree with this statement?

Or do you believe in love at first sight?

Ahhh... That's just bull because nobody and I mean NOBODY feels that way in this generation of life. Everyone's insides are as itchy as ever if you ask me.

Then there's this question of starting it off with a someone if that person has feelings for you. Would you? Will you start a relationship if you know that person is somehow hinting on you?

To me, it depends.

It isn't that easy now compared to the generation before me, Generation X. At that time, I can say that true love truly exists. That's when the term forever love really exists.

So what's with Generation Y and Generation Z?

I might be wrong but from what I observe and know, there aren't many GenY girls available anymore. It's either their already attached or they are career driven. So if you're a guy from GenY, you'll mostly end up with GenZ girls.

But GenZ girls are just so very different from GenY girls. Most of them still in their early 20s or younger. Being born into the world when technology is fully developed, does this mean that GenZ girls are mostly dependent on others and more demanding?

They can be mature for their age but the way they think is different from the GenYs. Why oh why is this so? It makes courting so much more tougher.

...and that's the summary of what went on after having 3 bottles with ma hommies.

Simple Plan Live in Kuala Lumpur

SIMPLE PLAN finally came to Malaysia!

They were hyping up KL Live last Saturday.
Fans came in groups filing up the intimate venue.

The place went SP crazy once they started singing,
and it did not stop until the end of the concert.

It was songs after songs, back to back.
Now, that's what you call a concert!

Their old school songs really brought back memories
and rekindled the SP fanboy in me. =]

I'm Just A Kid
Shut Up
...just to name a few

It was a full 90 minutes performance by Simple Plan.
The venue made it even better as you can get a good view
and experience no matter where you are standing.
Rock Zone, Upper Tier, Lower Tier

...you say good morning, when it's midnight~
-Jet Lag

That night was simply euphoric!
They sang Perfect from their album No Pads, No Helmets, Just Balls...
which was the perfect closing song.

Until the next Simple Plan concert, keep on rocking!

Designers VS Artists

Which one are you?

Being in the creative arts field, we have what we call the 'designers'. They make all the creative things in our society. From packaging design, to billboards, web designs, magazine covers, clothings and many more stuff around you. Designers work round the clock sacrificing sleep and rest just to get things done on time.

They are always rushing for time. Clients come first, which makes designers the second class of people after 'the clients'. Most of the time what designers would do is to take note to what the client wants to have in a project and follow each and every requirement up till the very smallest pixel. This might give less room for the freedom to be creative. You are some how restricted. So, do all designers work for money and money alone? Because all they do is to follow instructions and get paid in the end.

Now if you are an artist. You create from your heart and others will learn to appreciate your work. Being an artist to me is a one-eighty turn away from being a designer. There's more freedom into creating an artwork and by the end of the day, you'll have a piece of art that is close to your heart and it will not just be 'another project'.

Can there ever be an intersection between a designer and an artist? If they were, I would rather be an artist who can design rather than a designer who does art.

...but at this moment, I have to be 'the designer'. I guess it's the only way to earn some fast cash.

Man and Wife

...and from the right and from the left.
To be happy for him when he is right,
and to support and be by his side when is is in the wrong.

A quote by my uncle which went something like that.
I find it to be very true.

That's because I have been thinking about things that happen in life, in this case, marriage.
Why do people get married?
Do they feel obliged to get married at a certain age?
Which is why before this I thought, married was just something people 'have' to do.

Until recently my question was answered.
What a man needs is a woman to support him.

For better or for worse.

Hennessy V.S.O.P NYX Launch Party at Vertigo, The Gardens Mall

My first party of the year with Hennessy V.S.O.P! Hennessy launched its new collectors bottle recently and there was a party held in conjunction with that.

The secret location to the party was none other than Vertigo at The Gardens Mall.

I brought Henry and KitYee along as my guests that night. Haven't seen them for a few months/years.
Shall upload the pictures I took with them here soon. Have not gotten them JPEGs yet.

Since they were running a bit late due to traffic, I went up to Vertigo first.
The room was indeed packed and it was hard to move around.
But that did not really bothered me.
As long as they were having free flow of Hennessy VSOP, nothing else really mattered.

Besides, meeting up with friends is one of the main points of going for events.
Now tell me that isn't true.
Apart from having free alcohol that is.

To keep things short and sweet, here's what happened during the event:

Thou shall now wait for the next party.

For more info about the new Hennessy NYX bottle, head on to
or you can drop by their roadshow at Mid Valley Megamall, East Atrium Ground Floor.
(Roadshow wil be until 10th January 2012)

Did I Just Blew It?

It isn't hard for a person to perform what they have to do or to follow what's already planned out for them. However, deciding on what he or she SHOULD and WANT to do in life, sometimes, takes longer than just a few days.

This is the time of the year where baby birds start to have their first ever lesson on flying. Flying seems to be what has been planned out for them but will there be that one bird that decides, it does not want to fly but shall live its life being on land?

It is always rare that this kind of bird exists but if it does, do we call this bird a gem or do we call it a failure? Why would a bird not want to fly? Why would this very bird stray from the planned route which his brothers and sisters will be taking?

It was just recently that this one bird decided that it does not want to fly anymore. It shall choose the road not taken, to see what lies ahead behind the unforeseen valley.

To have a dream and vision of your future surely clears a lot of your doubts away. I was finding my path for the past few years and I think that I have found my way.

I chose to be different. Being a worker was not in my 101s. I made up my mind to create my own 101s. That's when it started to feel like everything I do was a risk. It is like hanging by a ledge on a rope made from cloth. You either make it or you fall.

So my mind was made up. I woke up one day, realised that taking over the Planet wasn't the choice for me. So, I took my one and only map and went scouting for the rose amongst the thorn bushes.

To only realise that the rose had blossomed and many other were going after it too.

Was I being too relaxed or is that just how Scorpios are?

All I can do now is to wait.
