Update!

Finally, my first semester of my Diploma year has ended! That means that I would have some time to come back to my blog. Yeah, I know I’ve been missing for quite some time, about four months I guess. Well, that’s because I just couldn’t really find time to update my blog while I was in college. Now that I have some spare time during my semester break, I’ll keep this blog updated from time to time. =) So, I guess what I have to do now is to update on you guys a bit on what have been going on in my life.

Like most of you would have known, I’ve entered college. I’ve taken up Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) cum ACCA in Tunku Abdul Rahman College. You know what they that college studies and exams are much easier to handle than the ones we took back in our secondary school. Well, I guess that’s not the case for me. If you would ask me, I would prefer to once again take my STPM rather than doing what I’m doing now! Haha! From my point of view, I think that doing STPM is much easier and they say that STPM is one of the toughest exams in the world or something. IF you can get through STPM, you can get through anything. Hmm, I don’t think so.

The first couple of weeks in college still seem okay. What’s at the back of my mind is this, there’s still time to catch up. But wait till assignments and mid-terms come rushing in plus the co-curricular you’ll have to take, there isn’t much time for you to do any real studying! Most of my classes start at eight in the morning and I only finish class at around late afternoon or in the evening. By the time I get back home, I’d be too exhausted to do any studying. So it’s off to sleep. =S

So, by the time assignments came plus the dance practices I had for my co-cu activity, I’m left almost zero time to do anything. Aiks! But hey, I’ve survived my first semester now. I’m not really satisfied with what I’ve done throughout this whole semester but let’s hope for the best.

However, there’s still something bothering me…

Have you ever been talked into doing something where you believe that it will somehow benefit you in the future and when you actually go on with that something, you realize that you actually can’t handle it and start to think whether you have made a mistake in the first place?

I’m talking about the course I’ve enrolled myself into. First of all, I know that taking this course will surely benefit me in the future. It’s all because I’ll be able to have my ACCA qualification later on. But the problem is now, I can’t really find my interest in accounts plus what I’ve learned during my whole first semester, I haven’t mastered anything! You can say that I’m not good at accounts! How can I move on to the next semester like this?

All that is left to do now is to wait and see what happens…

Heyy there. Justina here. Remember me?
Just dropped by to check any updates on you. I have a friend taking ACCA too,but in MMU Melaka. She was persuaded into taking it by her parents as well.
It's never too late to make changes. The most important thing is that you're doing something you're passionate about. I've seen many ppl changing their course of studies, my brother being one of them. He did great in his new course after :)
But at the end of the day, everything is up to u. Hope 2c more blog updates from you and how things go ;)
Take care.

P/S: Forgive my sibuk-ness,but are you and Madelyn together now? :D

Hey man...

I think your situation is very similar to mine.. When I said I'm studying statistics rite, you dont quite see the trill on my face.

Most probably because statistic is not my choice of studies la... Hence, its important to know what is your passion really lies... take this question aite, What do you see yourself in the next 10 years with this course and more importantly, are you happy with it?... like me, I'm planning to change to geophysics which is something which i like to do.. yes I may waste one year but sacrificing one year for another 40 yeaars of working is worth it rite.. so you think a bit la yea. No matter what you do, make sure you are okay with it aite..

Great! It's only one semester gone.. you have more to go. Enjoy it because working life is not as leisure as that... though i believe study life is not leisure too! LOL!
